The Month of July - Montreal Trip

Tons of stuff went down in the month on July and I been way to lazy to even blog about it, but I finally have some free time to start back up my blog. I cant remember all the details but im going to try and some up the days I do remember :D

After weeks of planning we finnally went to Montreal, and best of all Janelle came :).

Montreal day 1
We all met up downtown and hit up the lcbo, and after hangin around downtown for a bit our bus finally arrived. The bus ride was absolutely terrible! Our bus arrived in montreal 2 hours late and we all headed to our hotel (hotel plateau royal). Chris and I really bashed the hotel so that the girls wouldn't have very high expectations, and it worked :D. They all approved! This was my 3rd time checking into this hotel, the area is really nice with a huge park and a bunch of restaurants around for food; although its not directly downtown it only takes about 20minutes walk to get down and 5-10 to taxi. The first night we ate A&W for dinner because it was late and had to rush to get ready! Kameisha invited Nick and Sam (old high school friends)to the hotel since they were there for summer school. We all predrink in our room (chris kam janelle and myself)and all got typsy or drunk, well most of us. Janelle didnt really get phased. We went to my favorite club in Montreal based on my last visit, Tokyo. The club was really dead, we got there for 11ish and we were basically the only ones there (apparently clubs in montreal start an hour later and end an hour later). So it got live around 12, the club played top 40 all night long, no complaints form me. The drinks are somewhat cheaper than in toronto and there was even a bbq spot going on the first floor of the patio (yes the first floor, this place is huge). We got some burgers later in the night and they were sooo goood! Overall it was a really good night partying with everyone! Everyone is really nice in montreal, a lot nicer than in toronto. We all left, without a reggae song being played, so janelle was sorta dissapointed about that and julia apparently lost her man and was really sad about that cause she was dtf that night lol.

Montreal Day 2
We hit up Coras for breakfast, everyone enjoyed their breakfast but Chisritne. Her order took twice as long and when it finally came it was raw, so she was pretty grumpy all morning. We also met up with Neil because he bussed down by himself. It was packed with people dressed up for the festival and tons of locals walking the streets. There was a really good place selling mangos that were cut into a flower shape so I got suckered in and bought one :P. We found this fountain area as well and we all took put our feet in and relaxed/took pictures (it was disgustingly hot). We walked down to the fashion district and all the stores were closed since it was Canada day. we also discovered bixi bikes! apparently its 5 dollars to rent a bike for 24 hours and we all decided to rent them for the next day. We took the subway down to this Canada day festival thing and ate dinner at a restaurant. It was Italian i think? some sort of white person food. It took us 2.5 hours to eat dinner because the food took so long to get. It got late and we finally headed back to the hotel to get ready for the club. we went to La musqiue, it was a pretty good club music wise, sorta small though. The techno room was really big while the hip hop and reggae room was a lot smaller with a bar in the middle of the room. The music was live and the crowd was pretty friendly, but it was hard not to notice that chris and kam were fighting (typical). Long Story short Kameisha, punched 3 people and stormed off by herself. We all followed her back to the hotel and chris came by shortly after. They eventually made up and everything was fine the rest of the trip.

Montreal Day 3
In the morning we ate uhhh something, cant remember lol We headed back downtown but with the goal of shopping! My credit card was basically maxed out so I couldnt rent 2 bikes for Janelle and I so the rest of the guys left without us while we took the bus :D. I was annoyed that we couldnt ride with all of them but it was alright because I was still with Janelle and I got to experience the montreal bus. We eventually met up with all of them and started our shopping spree, well more like window shopping for me, other than a pair of pants I bought at Forever21. Janelle got two or three things and GOT a blazer. It got late and Janelle and I walked to St.huberts while the rest of the group biked over and made reservations. The place was packed but it was well worth the wait, probably the best chicken and ribs I have ever had. On the way back Janelle and I decided to walk back because we were to full to bike. We all got ready and left the hotel at 12ish to go to Coy. The club had bare black people and I was almost the only person that wasnt black. It was the hottest club I had ever been to, Everyone was drenched in sweat.

Montreal Day 4
the next morning we ate breakfast at this place across the street from our hotel. And bused baack to toronto. Janelle, Chris, Kam and I stayed downtwo nand ate korean bbq for dinner and headed back home after.

Montreal overall
Amazing place, I would suggest it to any person that hasn't gone, the people are very friendly and the club district is arguably better than toronto. There was not one fight at the clubs and there was always a good mix of people at the clubs. Unlike toronto where there are always guys with huge egos and fights almost happening every 30minutes. In montreal you can actually enjoy yourself in the club without the unnecessary drama.

Being with Janelle all those days and nights really made me realize that she is incredible. Best of all,I learnd that I can deal with the morning breath, snoring, grinding of teeth and her constant complaints of the weather being to hot LOL ;) Love you baby : ).
